Christopher Devon Becnel is the second son of Daniel E. Becnel, Jr and Deonne DuBarry; and step-son of Judge Mary Hotard Becnel.  Devon attended George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in International Politics & Government and graduated with honors.  While attending college he also worked on Capital Hill as a legislative aide to Congressman William Jefferson.  After graduating, Devon returned to Louisiana and attended Loyola University School of Law in New Orleans where he received his Juris Doctorate in 2005.  During law school, Devon clerked for the Becnel Law Firm and was awarded the 2005 Louisiana Police Juror’s Award for Excellence.

Devon is licensed to practice law in all Louisiana state courts as well as the Eastern U.S. District Court of Louisiana.  He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Louisiana State Bar Association, and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.  He currently works on cases involving but not limited to personal injury, criminal defense and mass tort litigation.
