A graduate of Louisiana State University and Loyola School of Law, Daniel Becnel is a nationally recognized attorney with over 35 years of experience. In 1972 at the age of 28 he won the largest verdict ($1,000,000) for an individual in the state of Louisiana. Ever since, he has practiced in the New Orleans area as one of the most prominent personal injury attorneys in the country. With a specialty in mass tort and class action cases, he has served as counsel in several national cases such as: Fen-Phen, Welding Rods, Breast Implants, Norplant and Tobacco to name a few. In addition Daniel Becnel is one of the most experienced lawyers in chemical release and toxic tort cases. In 1985 Becnel was recognized by Town & Country magazine as one of the fifty best lawyers in the United States. He is currently involved in several local and national personal injury cases; he also frequently teaches other lawyers on how to try class action and mass tort cases.
