In November of 2003 jurors agreed on a verdict in favor of the claimants in the eight-week trial against Gaylord Chemical and Union Tank Car, which was held in Franklinton, LA. The jury found both companies at fault for the chemical release with Gaylord being 35% at fault. The jury also agreed on $92,000,000 in punitive damages. Individual cases will be going to trial in the upcoming months.
